BREAKING: The city granted General Iron's owner, RMG, the first of two permits needed to operate as "Southside Recycling" in East Side.

RMG may now move pollution-limiting equipment from General Iron to 11600 S. Burley Ave. in anticipation of final approval.

You may notice I am not explicitly referring to this as General Iron's "move" to the East Side. Mayor Lori Lightfoot said this week this is an inaccurate descriptor; RMG agreed.
