Luckily, we’re breaking down the six state amendments that will be on the ballot:
Amendment 1 tackles the wording of Florida’s constitution.
Currently, it states every citizen shall have the right to vote. The amendment would change the word 'every' to 'only'.
Federal law already prohibits non-citizens from voting. https://www.wlrn.org/2020-09-28/what-is-amendment-1-the-citizenship-requirement-to-vote-in-florida-elections-amendment

If 60% of voters approve Amendment 2, Florida’s minimum wage would be $10 per hour in 2021. It would then increase by one dollar every year until it hits $15 in 2026. https://www.wlrn.org/2020-09-17/what-you-need-to-know-about-amendment-2-raising-floridas-minimum-wage
Florida is a closed primary state. Only voters registered to a party can vote in that party’s primary. Voters registered with no party affiliation can’t participate.
Amendment 3 would allow all registered voters to vote in primary, state-level races. https://www.wlrn.org/2020-09-15/what-is-floridas-amendment-3-the-all-voters-vote-in-primary-elections

Amendment 4 would add another layer to getting a constitutional amendment passed: Voters would have to approve an amendment twice, in two consecutive elections, for it to take effect. https://www.wlrn.org/2020-09-16/what-is-floridas-amendment-4-the-voter-approval-of-constitutional-amendments
Amendment 5 would add an additional year in which homeowners could transfer their “Save Our Homes” tax benefit when moving to a new house.
This would give homeowners three years from Jan. 1 of the year of the sale of the first home to claim the benefit. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/state-politics/article245925145.html

Amendment 6 would expand a constitutional amendment giving property tax breaks to older veterans wounded in combat.
If passed, it would allow spouses of these veterans to keep the exemption if their loved one dies. https://www.wlrn.org/2020-09-28/amendment-6-would-transfer-veterans-property-tax-break-to-surviving-spouses?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1601590547
