Got some more updates on Scout’s condition. (This will be a thread as we know more)
So he does in fact have heartworms. However the doctor said that it seems we caught it very early in the stage. So that’s a plus.
He’ll be taking some prescribed medicine for about a month (Cont.)

But before all that he has to be, for a lack of a better term, “quarantined” at the vet for a couple days so they can give him proper treatment. I have to drop him off Monday and he’ll stay there till Wednesday. After that I’ll try to update y’all with his status. (Cont.)

We’re supposed to keep him on low physical activity. TL;DR, if he is too hyperactive, the worms in his heart that are dying due to the treatment, they could get in his heart valves and cause a blood clot. Which knowing him, he’ll hate not going out all the time. (Cont.)
