My top ten favorite albums of all time

A thread ✨
10. Melodrama - Lorde

It really pains me to put Lorde this last, but someone had to be and her album is the least important to me. Overall Melodrama is just a perfectly written masterpiece by someone who’s career really just started.
9. Man On The Moon - Kid Cudi

This album has helped me a lot in life and High School especially. It feels good to know that there’s someone else out there who has been through the same stuff as you. Like, I feel as if Kid Cudi is speaking directly to me with this album.
8. Off The Wall - Michael Jackson

No too much to say here other than this is one of the greatest albums of all time. The production on here is timeless and sounds so fresh over 40 years later. This album alone proves that Michael is one of the greatest to ever do it.
7. Madvilliany - MF DOOM & Madlib

Everything I could say about this album has already been said 100’s of times. MF DOOM & Madlib are at their absolute peak and deliver us with one of the best produced and lyrical albums of all time.
6. The Black Album - Jay Z

The only old school hip hop album I really enjoy. That’s mainly because the production on here is just so smooth and flawless (thanks to Kanye). Overall just an amazing record and it’s crazy that this was gonna be Jay’s last album at one point.
5. Purple Rain - Prince & The Revolution

The song Purple Rain is the absolute peak of music. This album is just something out of this world and it’s crazy how talented Prince was. Such a timeless album that will forever sound so amazing.
4. thank u, next - Ariana Grande

A lot of you are gonna laugh at me for this, but this album is just so great. Ariana proves that you don’t have to have deep and thoughtful lyrics to make a great album. The production and lyrics are just so fun to vibe and chill to.
3. Donuts - J Dilla

I don’t have much words to explain how great this album truly is, but it’s crazy how Dilla can make an album with no lyrics sound so alive and real. Every producer after Dilla has been affected and influenced by this album in so many ways.
2. Late Registration - Kanye West

The greatest hip hop album of all time by the greatest hip hop artist of all time. Everything about this album is just a masterpiece. Absolutely no flaws at all, just greatness.
1. Thriller - Michael Jackson

The greatest album of all time by the greatest artist who ever lived. There’s not too much I can say here other than that. Thriller is the absolute definition of a classic and you truly can’t get better than this.
