before i start, i just want to say JENNIE AND JISOO DID THAT. Producer jennie truly snapped. Song writer Jensoo wrote this masterpiece :")) im so glad my girls got what they deserved :"))

So this song is about these girls looking for some they really loved. Someone that hurts them over and over, but since their love for that person is unconditional they cant seem to leave them behind, and start missing them so much they are "unable to act normally"

like YG described this song to be where the girls are deeply hurt but they have each other to rely on. Just like that, the music video starts with the girls being together and are happy as if they are each other's healing spot.

JENNIE's part

she is with this person on a drive. That person doesnt seem to have that love and affection anymore and jennie is aware of it but since she loves them sm she doesnt want to let it go, and keeps getting hurt. The car is full of "You and me 4eva" again signaling +

the fact that she wants him to stay with her no matter how much they fight or he hurts her

also this scene shows a car accident, where she sits silently, indicating that she is broken and hurt but she still doesnt let go

LISA's part

Again, wants to stay and doesnt want it to end, she is aware of everything but can't seem to leave, she'll hate him once she does, but doesnt want that. Doesnt want to end it unless it ends "naturally" she'll endure all the sufferings and heart breaks until the end

JISOO's part

Hopeful yet hopeless. She thinks it will all come to an end soon so they just keep moving forward without any mutual feelings. The hourglass is broken, the sand is falling, she wants the time to stop and live this moment forever

ROSÉ's part

they show clips in between of her having a good time with him and her being angry and all. She enjoyed every moment with him but then he left, breaking her apart. The guitar reminds her of him, so she smashes it, trying to forget him and leave him in the past +

Lisa is telling us about how stupid this relationship was. No feelings, no love affections and confessions. Nothing that happens in a relationship is genuinely based on love. She breaks her lovers car to release her anger and pain

She doesnt want to rely on him, she wants to be alone. LOVE wants her to be alone.

JENNIE's rap part

Lovesick means "missing someone or being in love with someone so much to a point a person is unable to act normally"

Black ink symbolizes "grief" and rosie is covered with it, and is throwing it on the walls that she painted with her lover. Their relationship has slowly become unbearable, always fighting and always getting heart broken. She wans to break free

JISOO's bridge part

Water symbolizes rebirth. She also wants to let go and become a new person. She wants to stay happy, she doesnt care about what he says anymore, pushing him away is what she wants to do

they are finally letting it go :") they found each other, being each other's source of happiness.

She is admitting the fact that everything has an end. The person you love the most is the first to leave. She is used to crying and and being hurt
