But also I cannot pray for him and I know what Jesus said and I know I’m a pastor but

I’m struggling.

he is a source of lies and harm and a public figure without shame, and he’s downplayed this virus consistently

and now he has it, and he’s already terrified about losing the election, and we hang in the precarious balance

we don’t even know if he’s telling the truth

i confess to you, beloved — I simply cannot with him

he’s spent 4 years working to bring us to this precipice, and he cares only about himself and i have so much hatred in my heart

and i think “pray for the President” has always been used to squash any kind of discussion

he is one of the most powerful people in the world and him getting COVID-19 is incredibly multilayered

if it was Biden and not him, he would be merciless in his demeanor

i’m not saying we should do the same in this situation, but

we should at least be aware
