• I’ve been running some experiments on my IG page for the last month

• I’m here to give y’all the free knowledge that I’ve gained

• I started my IG page by posting infographics like this one

• Notice that the entire post is filled with text and images.

• I noticed that IG will decrease your reach since this kind of looks like an ad low key.

• I continued with this for a few weeks with poor results

• With the infographics I was making the hashtags specific to each post

• This is a huge mistake continue to use the hashtags that work and your reach will continue to increase

• Simply copy and paste the hashtags into your post each time

• Notice the difference with this post

• Instagram will reward you for using lighter colors like grey compared to a darker color like orange for some reason

• Also notice this post includes a ton of clear space which shows that this is a normal photo

• Make sure to make your post shareable you see that this was shared 30 times

• The more your post is shared the more it will appear in different feeds of those that don’t follow you

• Saves also matter as well IG will reward you for keeping people on their platform

Instead of continuing to use infographics I started to break my post up into slides

• You will receive more engagement by doing this because people are staying on your post for longer periods of time

• The order matters since you want them to view the entire thing

• I’ve noticed that if you put a picture on a few of the slides people will continue going through it.

• If it’s all text it could come off a bit as boring like a book change colors throughout the post as well

• Lastly align your text to the left so that everything is neat

• Make sure to post at the optimal times of the day for you

• You could have a great post but if you post it at the wrong time it will perform poorly

• Use your analytics to figure out what times work best for you and post around those times!
