I never covered cases seeing CM & party. Never. Took up what I came across & where I felt I should intervene. Focused mostly on UP as it’s my native state. But since vile propagandists are shamelessly giving police of other states a clean chit, here are some disturbing stories:
West Bengal: Minor dalit girl kidnapped. Police neither mention accused’s name in FIR (he was M), nor added POCSO & SC Act. Made no effort to find her. Poor father came across an NGO. Rajasthan: This Alwar case was so botched up it’s sickening. Fed up of rapists, minor girl jumpe din to well. Police filed FIR only after protests but made no arrests. Poor father hung himself from tree. Left a family shattered. Telangana: A young dalit mother of two was gangraped & killed with stones. Body was mutilated. Husband searched the body in jungles himself. Told me he was denied post-mortem report.
