A lot of folks are reconsidering their relationship with Magic right now. Some of that energy comes from how much of our identity we tie into this card game.

So, here's a thread of some hobbies that are great to grow with, regardless of what WOTC is doing. #mtg
Cooking

Not only is it an important life skill to have, but it can provide a treasure trove of ideas to explore. There are countless world cuisines to try, and that can give us a better understanding of other cultures. It can also help us learn about where our food comes from.
Writing

Writing to express ourselves, instead of just for communication, is a great hobby. It's often tossed by the wayside after schooling, unless we have a job that demands it. It can be done through keeping a daily journal, or even writing original works of nonfiction/fiction
Reading

This is another one that sometimes be tossed aside after the days of reading for school. There are topics for everyone, and tons of things to learn from the literary world. It can be eye-opening on current events, or pure escapism. Audiobooks count too!
Hiking

If you can safely do so, getting out on the trail is fantastic for the body and mind. It can help collect thoughts, all while providing great exercise. If you're looking for trails in your area, https://www.alltrails.com/  is a good place to start.
Music

Learning a musical instrument is a life goal for a lot of people, whether it be through something like the guitar or piano, or something less common. If you don't have easy access to an instrument, though, there are free vocal courses on YouTube, as well as music games.
Drawing

Plenty of people joke about only being able to draw stick figures, but don't go on to practice beyond that. However, there are tons of free art lessons online, and all you need are a pencil and paper. Like writing, it can help us organize our thoughts.
Yoga and Meditation

There are tons of health benefits to yoga, for both the body and mind. Even if it's as simple as taking ten minutes to focus on your breathing, and to ground ourselves. There is yoga and meditation for all sorts of physical abilities, too.
Volunteering

If it's safe to do so, there are plenty of ways to help out our communities. Litter cleanup is one of my personal favorites, but there are many great avenues to make a difference in the lives around us.
Gardening

Growing plants is not only rewarding, but it can be a great exercise in responsibility. There are plants of all types and characteristics to look after, and for all skill levels. And we don't need a plot of land to do so, because that pot on a windowsill counts too.
These are all pretty straightforward hobbies, but that's okay. If one person reads this thread and stops to think "You know, I should pick up that guitar again." or "I know just the place to volunteer", then I'll call it a success. There's much, much more to life than Magic. #mtg
