The start is uncomfortable

The mind assumes that feeling is eternal & anchors it to the task

Belief & Confidence + clear practical strategy is knowing for a fact the discomfort period is temporary

The mind likes guarantees, clarity, certainty

Knowing rewards are in store for doing the task

If I know for 100% fact that every 30 cold proposals lands 1 client

It's easy to send them out

When there is no guaranteed reward the mind struggles to find motivation/reason to act

If I said i'll pay you $100 for every article you write

Clear & guaranteed = high motivation

If I said

Write some articles
We will send them for review
If the client likes them & decides to use them he'll pay you $200

Not clear, not guaranteed = low/no motivation
