💀🎃👻 Spoopy Movie Thread 👻🎃💀

Ok, I'm going to try to watch a spoopy movie every night of October and talk about them here.
Ghostbusters (2016)

Not exactly a "scary" movie, but there are ghosts, so it counts.

These women were done dirty. This movie is funny, the entire cast had great chemistry, and fuck all of the dudes that wouldn't give it a chance because it was a bunch of women... bad ass women
Crawl (2019)

How many alligators ARE there? Suspenseful, some good jump scares, and a lot of cringe moments. I can't stand not being able to see what's in the water, so this definitely capitalized on that fear.

⭐⭐⭐/5
Halloween H20 (1998)

Jamie Lee Fucking Curtis AND Janet Leigh in a great cameo where she says, "May I be maternal?" 🙌

I was seriously bored with the franchise, but this movie brought me back. Love it and also, Alan Arlin (woof).

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Scream (1996)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)

After the original, ties with New Nightmare as my favorite or the series.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Silent Hill (2006)

This movie felt really long. I remember enjoying it when it came out, but I didn't really like it much now. The creatures are creepy, for sure, though.

⭐⭐1/2
PSYCHO (1960)

I love every second of this movie. Title credits to the end, the score, the light and darkness, the camerawork, just excellent from start to finish.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Scream 4 (2011)
Are you kidding me? NINE YEARS AGO?

I really liked this one and I'm excited about 5.

Courtney Cox remains my favorite.

⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
Final Destination (2000)

I love these movies because I like seeing the clever ways they kill people to make sure death's plan goes through.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Train to Busan (2016)

There's spooky, then scary, then terrifying. I was tense for the entire 2 hours of this movie, my heart racing.

And let's face it, after we all get the C0vid vaccine, this is what we're going to turn into anyway, so consider this research.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
The Omen (2006)
⭐⭐⭐
Jennifer's Body (2009)

First line of the movie: "Hell is a teenage girl."

I just started it and already, based on that line?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Psycho II (1983)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ just for the fact that Norman drops this in the ashtray and says, "What's this?"

Sir, you are a homosexual. You know exactly what this is, you provided the prop. 👃⚡
The Exorcist
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This movie said, "GAY RIGHTS!"
Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
⭐⭐⭐

She can't act, y'all. I love the Nancy character, but oof.

Like the movie. It's fun.
Slither (2006)
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gross, hilarious, and a prolonged shot of Nathan Fillion's crotch. Superb.
Slumber Party Massacre (1982)

Typical 80's horror, lots of T&A, no D, and ridiculous scenes like this girl eating pizza off a dead body.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Conjuring (2013)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When that clap came in, I GASPED.
The Turning (2020)
⭐⭐

Meh. And that ending?
Host (2020)
⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟

Seriously, it's under an hour and I was more scared than I have been in a long time. It's a completely STUPID premise, but I was tense and jumping and gasping once the action started picking up.
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
