Last nights meeting of the Queens County Democratic Committee ( @Queens_Dems) by the numbers.

0 - Number of appointed members allowed to attend from my Assembly District

39 - Assembly District # that had appointments in attendance

60 - Number of days (give or take) County had to put appointments together

3 - Number of days they gave District Leaders to put their appointments together

34 - The number of minutes late the call started.

427 - Number of people who voted to approve an appointments list that included duplicates and dead people.

6 - Number of people appointed twice in my assembly district

2 - number of men appointed to the AD 28/ED 51 (currently supposed to be male/female)

2 - number of people who were submitted for appointment but were reject by county from my Assembly District

70 - number of open ED spots in my Assembly District

393 - number of people who voted for @BOENYC commissioner - despite 0 information provided on Comissioner Araujo

(718) 268-5120 - Phone number members were calling repeatedly bc Points of Order, Point of Information on chat were being ignored and all participants were muted.

3 - Number of candidates running for office positions put into a slate for voting without their expressed consent

360 - Number of members that approved the end of the meeting

45 - Number of members that voted against the end of the meeting.

Technical challenges aside, this meeting was dispiriting. Elections were held w/out candidate information & candidate speeches. It was as if county wanted us to just trust them. (Also how Judicial Convention is run) I thought we were fighting against this type of governance?
