The most obvious way to find new projects is to go at the "trending" tab on GitHub and checkout the hottest repos of the day.
But as soon as you open one of them, your brain cells start cursing you as the project is too overwhelming even if it matches your stack

Keep an eye on @ProductHunt, @IndieHackers, Reddit, Twitter etc where developers share their projects and experiences. Also keep reading http://dev.to"> http://dev.to where people share their projects tagged with topics
