Network-attached storage ( #NAS) still accounted for the largest number of possible inbound attacks with 133.6M, followed by desktops and laptops.
Our August 2020 data shows that #WCry remained the top #malware family for Enterprise, while #Powload had the most detections for SMB and Consumer segments.

In our August #FastFacts report, #Enterprise remained the segment with the largest number of ransomware detections. The top detected #ransomware family for both this segment and SMB was #WCry, while #Locky was the top for the Consumer segment.

As the number of banking malware detections continues to increase, @TrendMicro found that #Ramnit took the spot as the most detected banking #malware for Enterprise and Consumer segments in our August #FastFacts report.

Meanwhile, #Emotet was the most detected for SMB.
In our August #FastFacts data, the #Consumer segment had the highest number of detections for the macro #malware family #Powload. The total number of #Powload detection for this segment was 13,352.

In our August #FastFacts report, #TinyPOS took the top spot as the most detected #PoS malware family under the Consumer segment. However, the Enterprise segment still covered a considerable portion of PoS malware detections, with a total of 11 detections.
