I wish the President and First Lady a rapid recovery and hope they remain asymptomatic/not sick. I also hope that the WH staffers, other attendees of his meetings and rallies, reporters, and Vice President Biden and his staff are safe and not substantively exposed. THREAD

1. I would also point out the utter, cavalier way that they have handled this pandemic from day 1 is shown again.

2. They are not wearing masks, using testing as an incomplete crutch (e.g. only testing the front row of a rally), and just this week allowed Trump to go on yesterday with meetings and rallies AFTER they knew Hope Hicks was symptomatic and positive!

3. While we all try to follow guidelines including masks and social distancing, they flout guidelines, obfuscate messaging on masks, and minimize the threat COVID-19 causes.

4. We need a leader and administration who is up to the task and this pandemic, or we will never return to a semblance of normalcy. Trump has failed all of us, and now himself and his family, on this over and over again.
