4 / The only sustainable solution we see for this deep-seated Patriarchy and Misogyny is to raise a generation of responsible and accountable adults who know better and can prevent harm.
5 / @sakshiorg in 28 years of its existence has always worked on Systemic Interventions and @therakshinproj is no different. We lobbied with the Ministry of Youth Affairs to get an official mandate to be able to do this.
6 / Sakshi pioneered this work in Equality and Responsible Sexuality in 1992 and we have informed 4 laws including the Prevention of Workplace Sexual Harassment law.
7 / We’ve led the Asia Pacific Advisory Forum for Judicial Education on Gender Equality and trained the Judiciary of 5 Nations to interpret Gender-based laws.
8 / From no laws to getting the laws in the country and then educating the judiciary on the laws, we’ve come full circle to the place where we need to make this information accessible to the beneficiaries - you and me. But more importantly the YOUTH - the future of India.
