I see the English left's full-on Sturgeon worship on display yet again. This time based on the observation that she's not as shit as Johnson. But let's take a closer look at what people are calling 'decisive' action on Ferrier
First, Ferrier knew of her diagnosis on Tuesday & the Speaker confirmed he knew of it on Wednesday. It's inconceivable that Sturgeon & Blackford were unaware by then. That's two days ago.
Second, Ferrier was exposed in the press, not by the party. The SNP sat on it. Being forced into action through something becoming public knowledge is NOT 'decisive' or 'impressive' as I've seen many on my timeline claim
Contrast with Starmer & RLB. He offered her a chance to apologise, she refused & she was sacked on the spot. THAT'S decisive. THAT'S impressive. THAT'S leadership. Your hand being forced 48 hours on isn't
Finally, Sturgeon was happy enough to see this character re-admitted to their ranks. Dumped him pre-election, welcomed back with open arms later. Now THAT'S decisive & the sheer breathtaking gall is impressive too. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50586995
I wish - though it's an increasingly forlorn hope - the English left would listen more to their Scottish equivalents rather than swallow this 'SNP good' guff. If they witnessed 1% of the hate & racism experienced by dissenters they'd soon stop
