I might not react to replies but I tend to read most. People have brought up that this is applicable to other skills and in my experience this is very true

I'd also add that at a certain point you'll have the confidence to deeply commit to one thing, but the point of the guide is that breadth is a healthier start (and not commonly suggested by pros who have found their niche)
