Nigerian artists need to stop overrating the concept of remixes/power features to sustain the buzz of well-received singles. It prevents them from moving on to the next thing.

While it used to be really potent, it& #39;s not as potent anymore.
These days, it& #39;s mostly like people are flogging a dead horse when they should be buying a new one.

Alaye, instead of featuring that superstar on the remix of a song you& #39;ve been pushing for eight months, be brave and move on to the next.
If the superstar refuses to make another song aside from that your buzz-worthy single, then beg.

I see certain remixes and I question who advices these artists. Even worse, they will shoot a video for the remix. Homies, what& #39;s going on?
What did & #39;Monalisa [Remix]& #39; do for Lyta? Nothing.

Why& #39;s Ola Kira doing a & #39;Maserati [Remix]& #39; with Davido when it should be a new song?

Why& #39;s Bad Boy Timz shooting a new video for & #39;MJ [Remix]& #39; with Mayor.

All these remixes should be new songs.
Y& #39;all think Joeboy would be the same person he currently is if he had done a & #39;Beginning [Remix]& #39; with Mayorkun instead of & #39;Don& #39;t Call Me Back& #39; featuring Mayorkun?

It seems y& #39;all have some bad advisors or y& #39;all are just terrible at decision-making.
