HOW WE MET.
It was on a Saturday afternoon,I was on my way to the salon when I met one of my mum's friends at UI gate.
We exchanged pleasantries and she asked if I could spare some time for her to discuss something with me...I obliged to her request.

We found a cool spot under a shade and amidst drinks she went on and on telling me how she had always admired me,how well behaved and beautiful I am...ok,I was just there wondering where all this was heading to .. lol
Well, she eventually told me about her aunt's son who is ready to settle down and she found me a perfect match for him.
Ooookay, I’m not really one for referrals or match-making so I told her I’d think about it just to dismiss her politely as I was actually headed to the salon.

I told my mum about my encounter with her friend and she just told me to follow my heart...you never know where you'd find love.

Thankfully, she hadn't disclosed my name or given out my number to him.Well, that was that about that (or so I thought...lol)

Fast forward to sometime later that year,I think April,2013..I had gone to get some drugs for my mum at the pharmacy very close to UCH(Kunle Ara) and I stood by the roadside under the scorching sun that day waiting for a bus/cab going to UI..none was forthcoming.
I was getting so angry and it was telling on my face when one very fine black car pulled up in front of me and asked where a beautiful lady like me was heading to.
I told him and at that moment,I didn't mind getting into the fully air-conditioned cozy car biko...

...a sister had literarily melted under that scorching sun...lol.You bet I needed that ride. I thanked him and we rode along and talked like we had known each other for ages.
The journey from UCH to UI seemed like eternity.

Got to know he was a medical doctor based in Lagos but he came for an official meeting in UCH and would be going back the following day.He asked for my number and I gave him.He was always calling me,checking up on me...in short,he was just too sweet.
Not a day passed without him calling to hear my voice. He was always sending me huge amounts for airtime. We got talking deeply, family talks came in...and he mentioned his aunt whose husband is a proffessor in UI, I asked him for their surname and boom,it was that my mum's friend
..I said in my mind,"what a small world".
Apparently, this young man was the person she was going to connect me with and God made us meet by chance!
There was just something different about him.I felt at peace with him.Despite his busy schedule as a senior registrar...

...then,he would always travel down to Ibadan to see me.
I also introduced him to my family and they accepted him happily. He never asked me to risk travelling to Lagos. He bore the risk for me all the time

His eloquence, his maturity, his intelligence, his austere nature was not something I would want to let go of.Deep down inside of me,I was convinced he is the man for me.

Few months later, the beautiful proposal came....
...He told me he knew exactly what he was looking for in a woman and that woman was me and that from the first day he set his eyes on me,he knew I would be his wife and mother of his children.I said 'YES' to the love of my life.
We did not have a long courtship.
My friends were like,'isn't it too sudden? bla bla...but when God is involved,He makes it all perfect. In November,2013 we had our introduction and got married traditionally and legally the following year.
