It's funny how you receive series of unsolicited advice as an emerging act, they all think they know better than you cos if you knew better you would have blown. Its worse when It comes from someone in the industry that ought to know better.
That's how one human being said I should learn yoruba or pay someone to teach me how to sing in yoruba if not i will not blow. Saying it would give me an edge and a higher chance of blowing. Man was even using Naira Marley as example
Like it wasn't enough, he said I should focus my energy of party jam cos I need to impress the streets of Lagos if not, i can never blow. The worse part is he played the song of another emerging act and told me to learn his style. Kmt my body spirit and soul wanted to slap him!!
This came just couple of days after one Madam music expert said I should change my name, saying SweetCorn sounds like child's play. Madam did no even bother to ask how I came about the name. Like say people like Popcaan, the weekend and elephant man did not blow
Anyways na me get my blow, when my time comes my light will shine. Music is subjective and there are so many factors that influence your acceptance of a song, your mood, life stages, economy, finance, relationship status and most importantly your IQ level
The fact that you dont like a song does not make it a bad song. Someone else's life might have been touched by the same song. So chill with all the unsolicited advice and demeanour like say I have failed in life. I have a successful career and life outside music fam
No be your money or your papa money I dey use promote my songs. As e be say u think I am wasting my time pursuing my dreams, let-s lay out our life accomplishments and see whose actually winning in life. Fucking mofos think they have a better life because they have social status
