I’m just going to say this out of context and unrelated to anything. Narcissists have delicate egos and will always want the upper hand. They will always want to appear strong and better than others. However there is an exception to this..

If a narcissist tries many tactics that have worked for them in the past and they suddenly don’t work, they will sometimes resort to lowering their appearance to gain the sympathy of their victims.

The idea is you feel empathy and reconnect, they win your favor again and bam the ego inflates as needed and they continue on with their cycle of treating you like garbage.

Also narcissists lie-a lot. But they also tell the truth just enough to make you question reality. This state of confusion is a way to control you.
