Nawaz Sharif presents himself as if he’s a fairytale hero or a Messiah (even at the cost of defaming National Institutions) making his case as if it was him that made Pakistan a Nuclear Power.
In fact he has nothing to do with it.

He always says things which could benefit him only,by manipulating facts & figures. He’s Power Hungry,always has been as he would do or say anything that could Compromise Pakistan’s Narrative or could lead to topple a Govt as long as it benefited him politically.

His Statement in 95/96 during PPP Govt,that Pakistan has Nuclear Arsenal,right at the Point when Pak wanted The US to revise Pressler Amendment by either delivering the promised 28 F-16s or return $1.4Bn to Pak not only jeopardised the deal but discredits claims on Nukes too

Nawaz Sharif showed no regrets on Jeopardising the deal by giving an irresponsible statement as he looked at the Western Lobby to help him pave his way into the Govt,by posing only reasonable leader that fits their criteria, even if it meant huge loss to Pak.

His claims to have sustained American Pressure for Pakistan to become a Nuclear Power are rubbished times & again by Dr AQ Khan himself who thinks the claim is preposterous & far from reality,as well as others, which Nawaz Sharif sees to have forgotten about.

Nawaz Sharif’s claim to have strengthened Pakistan with Nuclear Power when he was the PM 1997-1999 is rubbished by Nawaz Sharif HIMSELF,right after India tested Nuclear Bomb 11th & 13th May 1998. *Important to note,Pakistan tested few days after India Tested* 28th May 1998.

He clearly showed his intentions of not testing however did mention the Pressure mounting on him as Pakistan needed to recalibrate Indian’s equilibrium in the region as a Nuclear Power,abstaining to which could have weakened Pakistan’s internal & external security.

Talbott mentions how terrified Nawaz Sharif was,being indecisive about Nuclear Test as it would compromise his Political Posturing towards “Bearded ones” as Talbott quotes,referring to The Fundamentalists Nawaz Sharif sided with when needed.(quite a character or an actor)

Here’s another evidence as why Pakistan needed to respond The Indians with Nuclear Tests without any provocation & Not because Nawaz Sharif wanted it.

His claims on having being blindsided & backstabbed turn out to be Frivolous as he announced pulling back Pak Army from Kargil after giving impression he was totally unaware of what was going on,which in fact Nawaz Sharif backstabbing Pak Military.

Talking to an Indian Channel while in exile,Nawaz Sharif again aligns himself with Indian stance on Kargil & doesn’t dismiss the question of not pulling back Army from Kargil when it was Him announcing the retreat in The U.S. amid Kargil Conflict.

Nawaz Sharif had all the time in the world to Present Pakistan’s case on Nuclear Test & Kargil Conflict but instead he reduced himself to presenting a victim of Military Establishment to gain Political Popularity when he was in fact the beneficiary.
