Ok, I do not ask this a lot, but please read, I’m gonna do a quick overview of the season, as sad as I am, in a thread:
This season started off as probably the weirdest season baseball had ever seen, and it was obvious from game one. The second I personally saw Yelich go hitless in the first game I knew something was up. This season sucked to put it frankly and there is no words around it...
I always stay positive because I want the best for the team, obviously, but also we have to face reality too. We were off, we were not that good. That is hard for me to say, I have a lot of pride for the team I call mine. It hurts like no other to see this season end...
But with all that, we somehow did something we had never done. Postseason 3 times in a row. That is something to be happy about, something to be cheerful for. Players that we signed did not play well, heck a lot of them aren’t even on the team anymore. No one can predict that...
And of course, the LOVELY injury bug. Piña, Braun, Burnes, Williams to name a few, that is hard to come back from, no matter who you are. Granted most are at the end of the season, but that’s when they are needed most. About now we can just hope everybody comes back healthy...
At the end of the day, this season sucked. From the crappy record, forgettable postseason, injury, players just not playing well, and it may be being Brauns last season, it sucked. What’s done is done and cannot be undone. Now is time to look to the bright side of things...
2021 is coming up, a normal season (hopefully), a new offseason with knowledge of where we TRULY need to improve. 2021 is a new year, new faces. I’m confident in the future and so should everyone else. ONTO THE NEXT
