We have a lot to say about the intersections of oppression as they arise in society and in the Green Party specifically and tho we'd like to talk about different stuff like trans folx finally getting job protections for instance, we can't.

Allegations that Green Party of the United States tolerates or condones transphobia are wrong. Yet it's undeniable that transphobia and homophobia are more visible in our Party with State and Locals like Georgia Green Party and Green Party of Monroe County, NY. than ever.

Our opponents use the cheap and base bigotries expressed by these groups to slander our Party and to convince potential new Greens that they should not join our Party since their efforts will be wasted upon bigots.

The mission of the NLGC is to advocate FOR the liberation of the LGBTQIA+ community and AGAINST things which threaten our lives and liberation, and to organize potential new Greens amongst the larger Queer community. The actions of these groups directly impede this work.

Further, the political opponents of Howie Hawkins use these expressions of hate to undermine the campaign and to detract from the important messages that the H'20 Campaign has to say to the American people.

Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere and the National Lavender Green Caucus is committed to standing against the intersections of oppression which impact our community: racism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, ageism, ableism, misogyny and classism.
