I know the popularity of IPl has been increasing year by year but I am sorry to say that the kind of affiliation we have in 1st 3seasons with the players is amazing.
Now only MI has mumbaikar captain and many maharashtrian

players.
When u see 1st 3 seasons of IPL has Yuvi for punjab team Dada for Kolkata, Sachin for Mumbai,Laxman for hydrabad, Sehwag for Delhi Kumble for Banglore and many local players too representing their teams which increased the level of affiliation with IPL as a brand or as a

crowd puller for the local audience. Actually this was key factor to boost the IPL also lical players used to get confidence & proper grooming.

But now I think BCCI ,IPL has completely neglected this local factor and only care about the money making.
