Why I Think Bakugou Stands Like This: A Thread
In short? I think it’s because of his gauntlets, but not them being heavy—we know bakugou is strong enough to not have to worry about them.
However, he didn’t ALWAYS stand like this (excluding dramatics). This here? This is an alright posture if his head wasn’t down in a tHrEAtEnInG wAy. So it hasn’t always been a thing.
As we know after seeing Midoriya use them, the gauntlets pack a helluva punch especially when they’re close to full capacity. Bakugou uses these regularly and can make equally powerful explosions without them. This brings me to why his posture has become shít!
Feasibly, the gauntlets (outside of explosions) place a strain on bakugou’s front deltoid, and when he makes huge blasts, it rocks likely both the front and rear. Of course, his deltoids and pectorals have likely become Incredibly strong due to this.
I did mention earlier that this is kind of personal, so here’s my explanation for BOTH of us: when you strengthen your deltoids and pectorals, without stretching correctly, they tighten up and your shoulders begin tucking inward.
Honestly, it’s a really uncomfortable posture. It also takes a toll on the lower back, but because your shoulder and chest muscles are so extremely drawn in, the only alternative is to stand with a really extreme position to counter it... you know, like this:
An extremely rounded posture has literally caused me to stand like bakugou in some of these frames. I’m not exaggerating whatsoever, if my physical therapist was on here I would tag her ☠️
Basically, Bakugou: fucking stretch out your chest more often. End of thread, I think!
