WHY ALL MY MUSIC IS GONE /SOUNDCLOUD AND IT’S FAULTY PLATFORM, STALLING A YOUNG BLACK ARTISTS CAREER AND SUCCESS (a thread)

As someone who’s always had a passion for music, SoundCloud is what birthed my career as well as so many others. I’m not making this thread to hate on the platform but to spread awareness on their flawed system, and how unsupportive SoundCloud’s “support” really is.

From Sept 17th to Sept 18th, i had four of my songs striked and deleted from my account. Not only were some of these songs responsible for my income but they were also what made me the artist i am today. To see them taken down with no proof of ownership or credibility upsets me.

First off let me point out that not only were my songs striked but they were striked with no motive other than to get them removed from my page. And the fact that SoundCloud let this happen with ease genuinely disgusts me as an artist, so I’m calling for a change to this system.

Once they gave me the information (useless burner info Ofcourse) i asked to open a dmca with me and the opposing party. Suprisingly, Hunter from SoundCloud support denied my rights to a dmca (Digital Millennium Copyright Act).

After looking into the situation, i found that on SOUNDCLOUD’S WEBSITE they stated that i could use any of these examples shown below as proof of ownership. So i check in with Hunter, and he tells me No. That it’s “not efficient”. At this point i was honestly ready to give up.

And Here is the Culprit admitting to taking down my songs as well as a partner of mine in the underground community. So much for messaging them for a Resolution huh SoundCloud..

By the way, yes... i own rights to the songs taken down. I have leases paid for and a license contract for one possession which I don’t feel too comfortable putting into this thread. Most transactions done through Beatstars & Paypal but “receipts aren’t enough”

All I’m asking is @SCsupport, please work with me on this. Im only trying to succeed in my career and with this tough situation it’s preventing me from doing so as i sit in fear of my Account being terminated, every day i go with an empty Page, is an Opportunity missed for Ayce.

And i would genuinely appreciate if you could retweet this to spread awareness, as I know many of the artists on this platform have dealt with similar situations, taking a toll on their career. Thank you for reading this far <3
