2nd Oct 1994 will remain a black day for every Uttarakhandi-this is the day when we came face to face with the state’s brutality & how all the arms of the state came together & used killing & rape as a tool to stop peaceful protestors from heading to Delhi for sit in at Rajghat!

State was then under the rule of SP- BSP combine and Akhilesh Yadav’s (who is issuing sermons on rape today) father was the CM. Peaceful protestors from villages and towns of Uttarakhand were heading to Delhi for a sit in at Rajghat on 2nd Oct 1994.

As buses carrying men, women, boys & girls reached Rampur Tiraha, police stopped them. Protestors insisted on allowing their buses to head to Delhi but @Uppolice - under express orders of @samajwadiparty supremo MSY & diligently carried by Anant K Singh- then DM remained adamant

Soon A.K. Singh - yes proud member of @IASassociation - ordered @Uppolice to fire at helpless protestors. 6 of them died on the spot and several men and women ran towards nearby sugarcane fields to save their lives- which is when policemen chased them and raped several women

Many of the protestors shot at were killed at point blank range- several of them were injured and many women were raped and molested by members of then @Uppolice - these ten men were never prosecuted as CM after CM denied permission to prosecute them after CBI found them guilty

Bua Singh later went on to become DGP of @Uppolice - if my memory serves me right - under @Mayawati - she also refused permission to prosecute all these 10 murderers and rapists of Muzaffarnagar. Several of them were members of @IASassociation and @ipsassociation

Fact remains that none of the UP politician, crying on alleged rape at Hathras, has any right to comment on that incident as they have presided over something as heinous as Rampur Tiraha case....even Justice Zaheer Hassan, justified use of force was just and reasonable'

Next day as reports of killing and rape reached dehradun and bodies started coming in- people began assembling at Doon hospital and elsewhere. Published in the list of those killed was one name-Pankaj Tyagi-that I and @Rakeshdun knew. But as we checked, we found that PT was home

Later we came to know how it was a case of mistaken identity as the guy identified as Pankaj Tyagi actually was his employee- some Mamgain guy we knew. He was carrying his visiting card and police identified him as Pankaj based on that card....

For days thereafter, we were subjected to one of the most brutal regimes. @Uppolice didn’t stop at that - they killed protestors at Khatima, Mussoorie and Haldwani and several other places. I still remember how they marked boys from our colony and would do house search....

Punjab Police from Punjab was sent to Ukd and they did flag march in our colony - Hathi Barkala estate after angry mob from our area chased the police away and set police station on fire. For few days, area beyond Salawala bridge remained a liberated zone as police dare not enter

What used to help was that area of Salawala, Hathi Barkala and Vijay Colony was situated between Army Cantonment and the Bridge. Army never stopped folks from our area as they were sympathetic to the cause of Ukd protestors. Later, CRPF and Punjab Police came and took control

The genesis of my hate for entire Yadav/Mayawati lies in brutal regime of those days. Fact that our people didn’t pick arms was coz we r hardcore nationalist race. Else Yadav, Mayawati, Cong combine & their stooges from IAS/ IPS created all conditions for same!

And yes, may each of these 10 men and their saviours in Mayawati and Yadav rot in hell and a day comes when entire Yadav clan together with all their sons and grand kids and their pahari wives pay for sins of that criminal Mulayam Singh Yadav- may they all rot in hell!
