In Orthodoxy, I’m not allowed on their holiest mountain because I’m a woman.
In Anglicanism, I could literally become a bishop (if I believed in female ordination which I don’t).
Clearly one of these looks down on me for my gender & the other doesn’t.

So yeah, it shouldn’t really surprise anyone that I and many other women might find Anglicanism more welcoming *even if* we don’t like a lot of the liberal nonsense they pump out. We know we won’t be denigrated for our gender there. We know we’ll be seen as equals.
And yet I still have some orthobros (the bad ones, not all of y’all) mocking me for even considering Anglicanism. Well y’all are part of the reason why Anglicanism is on the table! It wouldn’t be if your church didn’t treat women like second class citizens.
