In light of what has recently happened in our department I feel compelled to share my own story. While there is some intersection to the situation surrounding the @piney_the account, this story mostly involves effort within @UNH_Chemistry to make a statement in support of BLM.

To be clear: I am sharing my own views and my own perception of the situation and do not speak on behalf of my department or any of my colleagues. Though I welcome any of you to chime in here.

I was affected by the murder of George Floyd and the violence that followed in a away I don't have the words to describe. The silence from UNH in the days that followed, leading up to shut down stem on Jun 10, evoked anger and initiated depression from which I am still recovering
