i haven’t read any travis scott meal thinkpieces yet, so forgive me if this point is well-worn. but this is essentially the most high-profile instance of influencer marketing in history, no? there is something admirable about it. it’s strangely not hateable. it’s sweet, somehow.

while my ‘inner Marxist’ is not the loudest or most developed of my inner personalities, he just can’t seem to muster any enthusiasm to be angered by it. for whatever reason, ig models pushing sugar bear hair vitamins is much more offensive.

it’s partially just the stupidity of it. it’s something a four year old would think of. there is something satisfying about seeing a lot of production value go into something so childish
