OLD FART ALERT: My 15yo is (loudly) chatting to a girl and teen courting in the age of Covid is fucking weird. First, he checked the veracity of her Facebook pic. Second, he proceeded to tell (very tall) tales of how & #39;toxic& #39; his previous relationships were & his emotional pain. 1

Am pretty sure in the 90s, the idea was to seem cool rather than traumatised. (Not that I ever really managed either.)

Also, am not earwigging. Our flat is too small for him to talk at this volume and not be overheard. 2/4

Speaking of how easy it is to overhear people in my house, I am pretty sure I can hear my wife talking about the reproductive viability of my sperm in a zoom with two of her friends.

She has her doubts that, at 42, I have anything left that really works. (Probably right.) 4/4
