She went so fast. I think she was ready to rest. 💕
I’m going to put some of my favorite memories and photos here

Bruce was obsessed with Rain from day one and always loved to sleep next to her
He always wanted to hold her paw or tail (you can see him doing it in the last photo)
She loved to de-fuzz tennis balls (this was originally supposed to be Bruce’s 😂)
She loved to crunch various fruits and veggies, including cucumber bits and peels
Also watermelon
Here she is being very sassy and pretending she can’t hear me telling her to come inside, a few years ago
She loved to meet new people, here she is with my friends over the years (the last picture is my friend who always watched her when I was gone, she came over on the day of to say goodbye)
She also was a fiend for cat food 😂😂
Part two of cat food adventures
I’m so glad we had a yard for the last few months of her life, she really loved it
I think this was one of the last few times she ran outside, she stopped doing it entirely in the last few weeks. She was such a good dog. The vet said it usually takes 5-10m and she was gone in like...two. And she looked so peaceful and at rest, no pain.

I love her so much 💖
It’s been a week. I’ve mostly stopped listening for her to come running when I get home from somewhere and open the door. I did instinctively look on my bed for her yesterday when walking down the hall and then had to stop and have a Moment, though
putting this here so everything is in one spot for my own uses (feel free to mute this thread) https://twitter.com/_chelleshock/status/1313538881044840448
I had an appt with my ADHD doctor today, who does a lot of like, coaching type stuff in our appts as well, and she asked what I was doing to mourn and honor Rain and it made me CRY ofc but also we talked about grief rituals and that was nice
