#DidYouKnow that there are several temples dedicated to #MahatmaGandhi in India,including 2 in Odisha-where Gandhiji is worshipped everyday-one in Gosaninuagaon area of Berhampur in Ganjam district & another in Bhatara area near Charamal in Sambalpur district.

Gandhiji is revered by all as the
"The Father of the Nation",which was 1st conferred to him by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in his last radio address from Burma on

This picture,taken by an unknown photographer in 1946 when Gandhiji met Lord Pethick Lawrence in India.The mirror image of a portrait of the same was 1st used for a commemorative note on his birth centenary in 1969 & again in 1987 for ₹500 note before being re-introduced in 1996

#Gandhiji is the only Indian to be named the TIME magazine Person of the Year(in 1930)
Also he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for 5 times
(1937,1938,1939,1947,1948)-as they're not given posthumously,it was not awarded in 1948 for lack of a suitable 'living' candidate

He was also one the runners-up to TIME magazine,Person of the Century losing out to Albert Einstein.When asked his choice for the same,Apple Founder & then CEO Steve Jobs voted for #Gandhiji.His iconic circular wire rim glasses are thought to be inspired from him !

The Bhajan "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram" was popularized by Gandhiji during his march to Dandi.
But #DidYouKnow that he had added the lines-
"ईश्वर अल्लाह तेरो नाम,सब को सन्मति दे भगवान" to the original version to promote national integrity !
