where Banks’ £8M came from, tho even we know he had numerous meetings with the Russians pre EURef. We know of Cambridge Analytica’s SM manipulation funded via US billionaire Mercer. We know of Putin’s troll farms who further manipulated SM against UK’s geopolitical interests. 2/x

We know of huge donations to the Tories from Oligarchs and massive corruption by the government from huge property deals to test and trace and PPE contracts. These are attacks on our democracy, our wealth and of influence. So where exactly were the Secret Services? 3/x

I am sadly drawing the conclusion that our SS are operating in the interests of the Tories rather than in the national interest. So who exactly are the patriots here? Can we expect them to start going after us, those private citizens trying to defend our national interests?

I of course cannot answer these questions but it makes me very uneasy. There is a new head of MI6 @chiefMI6 and I hope these questions will ultimately be answered. Until then I reserve judgement about whether my prior pride in their capabilities and integrity was justified. 5/5
