we've been brainwashed into thinking that most singers from the US are global superstars and it benefitted the industry until bts came along and showed everyone what it truly looks like. this is also why so many people want them gone, their existence makes us question everything.
Aside from a very selected portion of artists (including bts), no one else can truly chart all around the world from Germany to South Africa to India, no one else can sold out stadiums without an extraordinary amount of publicity and support from radios.
Try it yourself. Look at the US charts and the people there. Check their numbers in your own country. Are they here? Do they even tour next to you? Yes, maybe you hear them on your radio, but do people actually buy their music or is it just the radio trying to fool you?
