Recently, I learnt about leadership and personality traits. I discovered that I have an agreeable personality trait. In contrast, @adeborois has a more conscientious trait. Research shows that conscientious people become great managers since they ensure things are achieved.
I thought it was a problem because I needed to take charge of my home, be responsible and proactive and I mixed all of that with being charismatic and conscientious in my role as the head of my family.
However, one's given role as head of the home is not for domineering or exhibiting certain personality traits. Husbands are called to lead... with love—not with worldly power, authority and "divine right."
The headship of the home is not about giving orders but rather about serving.

It is not a power tussle where the husband tries to lord authority over his wife, and the wife continually resists him.
When the Bible says the man is the head in the same way that Christ is the head of the Church, you need to ask yourself, 'what did Christ do as the head of the Church?'

Answer: He laid His life for her.
The headship of the home is not in demanding authority but instead in loving like Christ loved the Church; laying down your life in sacrifice for your wife, put her needs first, defer your own needs to meet her needs at all costs - to serve just like Jesus did.
Men can't stop talking about respect, but it is cultivated over time by careful loving and caring for the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of your wife.
If we are looking to Jesus Christ as our model, this can only mean one thing: the man is supposed to follow the path of a servant-leader. In Jesus' words "the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28).
And in the words of Gary Chapman, 'You should never separate these two words; Loving and Leader. Loving because He's looking out for her interests, Leader, because He's taking the initiative to do, things for her like Christ did for the Church.'
Choose to be a loving leader. ❤️
