What we need for ‘Savage Mode 2’ to be the Perfect Sequel 🗡🗡
(A Thread)
Offset Being the Album’s Sole Feature

Many trap albums have a common flaw; too many features. Like the original “Savage Mode” we hope that there are little to no features on the sequel. Hopefully 21 Savage links up with Offset, who we know flows well over Metro’s dark beats.
Vivid Storytelling from 21

21 Savage can get quite descriptive when recounting tales from his past. His detailed lyrics made his street stories feel authentic. For "SM2" he should elevate his storytelling game by adding personal anecdotes and having fully developed stories.
Metro’s Grimy Production Style

The production on “Savage Mode” was eerie and felt frightful, which set up the perfect tone for 21’s monotone but effective delivery. When it comes to making ambient trap beats, Metro is right at home. Hopefully this style sticks around for Part 2
Short Track List

If history repeats, Savage Mode 2 will be short yet sweet. The first one only had 9 tracks; this keeps the subject matter focused. They shouldn’t follow the recent trap trend of having way too many tracks because it will affect the overall listening experience.
Political Stance

Taking a political stance will not define the album’s greatness, yet it feels like the time's right. If ever there was an opportunity to voice his opinion on current social events, it would be right now. This would add a great layer of substance to the sequel.
21 Savage Sticking to Dark Subject Matter

Hip-hop fans were stunned when "Savage Mode" first came out because it was so damn dark. The album's subject matter was violent throughout and 21’s gruesome lyrics were captivating. We're hoping that the sequel has no melodic tracks!
Innovation

The dynamic duo need to stay true to their roots, yet find an innovative way to make this original; it can’t be a copy and paste of what they have already done. Since 2016, 21 has shown lots of artistic growth, and should focus on evolving once again with “SM2”.
Cinematic Visuals

They really got Morgan Freeman to narrate the trailer, arguably the most iconic voice actor of all time. We love their cinematic approach with the “film” idea and we’re also dying to get mesmerizing music videos like we got for ‘X’ and ‘No Heart’.
🩸Bonus 🩸

This duo has already given us a great catalogue of music together. By dropping another quality trap album, they will have to be in consideration for being the greatest rapper-producer duo in trap history.
