In the immediate aftermath of the 2018 gubernatorial election in GA, in the face of massive voter suppression, the @staceyabrams campaign ran Google search ads to inform voters how to cure their provisional ballots and check to see if their ballots were counted.
We also used post-election ads to collect the stories of voters who had their votes suppressed to highlight the need to continue the vote count. It led to thousands of votes being counted when they would have otherwise been tossed out, making our democratic process stronger.
In what is likely to be an extended vote count this November, it is critical that campaigns be allowed to provide accurate information quickly when voters search out information on how to protect the right to have their vote counted. I implore @Google to change their policy ASAP.
