Done with Dune for a bit. I'm switching over to lesbian necromancers exploring a haunted gothic space palace — thanks to the awesome @Jampers_and❤️ — which seems much more to my tastes.

#GideonTheNinth
Up to chapter 4 of #GideonTheNinth and either this is going to be an epic slow-burn enemies to lovers story, or the Reverend Daughter of Drearburh Harrowhawk Nonagesimus is a real bitch.
OK. Seeing as how we just got a necromantic face paint version of this image, I'm pretty sure #GideonTheNinth is a slow burn enemies to lovers story.
At this point I'm betting every bone in the Ninth House's crumbling ossuary that the living quarters His Celestial Kindliness, the First Reborn, the Necrolord Prime grants Gideon and Harrowhawk during Lyctor training will have only a single bed, because oops. ❤️ #GideonTheNinth
Like DUNE (not comparing them, that was just the last book I read mind you), Tamsyn Muir presents things as if the reader is a native to the weird, necronautical setting of #GideonTheNinth. I very much like that style of writing.
Just finished chapter nine of #GideonTheNinth and for some reason, I'm getting Hunger Game vibes from this Lyctor training in Canaan House...
Getting to meet the other Lyctor potentates in #GideonTheNinth. I'm real interested to see all the different kinds of necromancy in the nine different Houses.

Calling it now: Dulcinea Septimus, Heir to the House of the Seventh, Duchess of Rhodes, is some kind of vampire. Hot.
You know, much as I love vampires and biting (❤️hawt❤️), #GideonTheNinth is reminding me that, oddly enough, I'm squeamish about blood.

This is me whenever Harrowhawk jabs that giant iron needle into the inside of her mouth so she can use it like a pen with her own blood as ink:
