The ACLU has been waging all out war on Catholic Hospitals.

Their goal is not to ensure that proper care is given to patients.

It’s to coerce these institutions into replacing their faith-based medical practices with secular moral standards that deny the sanctity of life. 🧵👇🏻
The ACLU claims that Catholic Hospitals discriminate against transgender individuals.

This assertion is a lie – and here’s why:
A transgendered patient sued a Catholic Hospital after being refused for a hysterectomy for the purpose of sex reassignment.

The refusal had nothing to do with the patient being transgender.
The Hospital simply followed Catholic healthcare directives:

1. Normal body functions can only be interfered with in order to prevent pathologies.

2. Any medical act that results in sterilization can only be performed to treat disease.
Catholic Hospitals all follow the same rules: refuse interventions that violate Church belief, but require that all patients receive proper care.

It is the purpose of the procedure that is objectionable, not the patient themselves.
A straight man would be denied a vasectomy at a Catholic hospital.

But if he had testicular cancer, he would be allowed surgery that resulted in sterilization—because the point of the procedure would be to treat a serious pathology.
A transgender individual with a broken arm would in fact be treated with the same level of care as other patients, without regard to sexual identity.
