One last view of the big blue sky from our balcony in Brooklyn. We've officially given up the apartment and are on the road to Seattle! Today, we're heading to Ohio for the first stretch of our 3300mi voyage. The cats hate the car and are very noisy.

Meredith and I had one last glass of wine on our beautiful roof. All of this is really hard to let go, but I'm hopeful for what the future holds for us.

The skies in Pennsylvania are so damn big. What an absolutely beautiful part of the country to be driving through! Friendly people at rest stops so far, other than the unmasked and the occasional Trump signs.

The clouds, hills, and beginnings of autumn changing the colors is making this a beautiful drive. Pennsylvania, you're gorgeous!
