This is not a good apology, and doubling down on your weirdo choice to make your getting aroused by children a “quirky video topic” was the opposite of a good decision.

“But, the books have sex in them” she whines

Ma’am....the sex.....is there for the teens....not for you.... https://twitter.com/hannahwitton/status/1311637951491735553
As someone who wrote a book with multiple sex scenes and D/S for teens, here is what I did as a responsible adult:

1. They are all vague as fuck
2. All my characters are 17 going on 18
3. Circumvented bloggers who tried to bait me into talking about who is sexier jack or august.
4. Discuss their orientations as part of their developmental phase
5. Talk in interviews about whether their expressions of their emotions were healthy or not
6. If a very VERY young child picks up the book in my presence I gently suggest they wait until they’re older to read.
I do think that sex does belong in YA because it’s a large part of most (but certainly not all) people’s developmental phases and is a part of many teen’s lives. However, as adults we have a responsibility to handle that with grace, not to consume it for our own satisfaction.
Not that adults can’t read YA and get immersed with it, but the thought process should always be less “Wow I would fuck that teen character/that teen is sexy”

and more “When I was a teen, they would have been my ideal choice”

or “If they were adults this concept would be hot”
Also, not to be a SPICY bitch at 11:32am but I have read ALL my GR reviews and if thousands of adults can read and review TWK without hyper sexualizing the teens in it or talking about reading it for sexual gratification................what’s your problem.
