1/n: When you come to Canada as the child of a parent with a white collar job (e.g. aerospace engineer) but endure some racism, you have already crossed a finish line to a race that descendants of slaves were never allowed to participate in.

2/n: Your people weren’t held in captivity for 206 years, then lied to about you Rights for freedom. The idea that hard work is what sets you apart from them is a myth.

3/n: So stop saying “I get that stuff” when you don’t. You don’t get “that stuff”. If you did, it wouldn’t be so offensive when you speak.
