Really a sad state of affairs when the White House @PressSec can't offer a clear and direct answer to this question. https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1311689723438563329
"I think in all fairness, there is some ambiguity there. The record is mixed," @johnrobertsFox says after the briefing about Trump denouncing white supremacy. "Why not just come right out today and say, 'Here is the definitive answer to that question'?"
"I don't understand why he wouldn't say, 'I denounce white supremacy. I've always denounced white supremacy,'" @johnrobertsFox adds. "For some reason they aren't saying the word — and that's what is very puzzling."
On Fox News, @johnrobertsFox is visibly angry that @PressSec won't offer a clear denunciation of white supremacy: "Stop deflecting. Stop blaming the media. I'm tired of it. "
Worth noting, while @johnrobertsFox called WH out, these chyrons ran on Fox during that segment:

"WHITE HOUSE PRESS SEC DEFENDS PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS ON FAR RIGHT-EXTREMIST GROUPS AT DEBATE"

"MCENANY: PRESIDENT HAS DENOUNCED ALL HATE GROUPS"

Sort of undercuts Roberts' message!
And now @PressSec is attacking @johnrobertsFox on Twitter by invoking the reporting of his wife, @KyraPhillips of ABC. https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1311707130160873472
