As context, remember from my pinned threads how I detailed that the June 9, 2016 meeting between Don Jr. and Veselnitskaya was a threat from the Russians to charge Trump under the Dima Yakovlev Law if he didn't make a promise to drop the Magnitsky sanctions when in office.
The Russians weren't just going to take Don's word on this promise, they wanted it to be executed through some sort of legal instrument. That's why Ike Kaveladze complained that the right people weren't there, and that they needed the lawyers from the Trump side to be present.
The Carter Page trip to Moscow a month later was an opportunity for the Trump side to deliver their response to that threat. Notice how Mueller (1:99) is careful to demonstrate that both the Russians and the Trumps understood Page as a surrogate for Trump himself during the trip.
Notice also how Lewandowski is careful to point out that Page's trip is "outside the campaign," that is, he will be Trump's PERSONAL representative. This is why Rosenstein purposefully limits Mueller's mandate to an investigation of the CAMPAIGN and not Trump or his family.
Next, Mueller lays out (1:100) how the Russians rightly understood the visit of Page, not as an above-board official visit from the campaign, but as a desire to deliver a private message not likely to be in the genuine foreign affairs interests of the U.S. ("not the main one").
Page (1:101), however, when in Moscow, attempts to hide the genuine nature of his contacts by composing an email to Clovis that describes what look more like official contacts with "sources close to the Presidential Administration." But Mueller was no fooled.
Through the Page FISA, the FBI obtained a recording of Trump played by Page for SVR agents while in Moscow in which Trump agrees to drop the Magnitsky sanctions in exchange for help winning the election. After all, how could he drop the sanctions if he didn't win?
"Despite these representations to the Campaign" (that Page met with the Presidential Administration), the evidence shows that [redacted]. It's under the redactions on 1:101 that we will find out why Trump exclaimed when Mueller was appointed that his presidency was fucked.
Now, with new sections of the Mueller Report set to be revealed sometime in the next month, we're likely only a short time away from that fucking. Trump's presidency and his life itself are about to enter the halls of infamy.
