This photo was taken nearly a year ago, as I delivered Canada& #39;s national statement at the #OPCW Executive Council. I left immediately after with an unbearable pain in my shoulder that was spreading into my chest, and I didn& #39;t know then, would nearly take my life. /1...
When I look at the photo now, it feels strange to think of all that has happened since then. The support & love from my colleagues from Canada & so many other countries made me realise how truly lucky I am to have a job that connects souls from everywhere in friendship & love. /2
I owe a special thanks to my amazing boss @AmbLisaHelfand and my partner at @CanadaOPCW, @AnjaBeslic, who went above and beyond to support me and my family. /3
Today is my first day back at work. I& #39;ve never felt more grateful for the opportunity to serve my country and be connected with such wonderful people from around the world. I look forward to the next time I have the honour of delivering a statement from behind that https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🇨🇦" title="Flagge von Kanada" aria-label="Emoji: Flagge von Kanada"> plate.
