bts pairings as break ups:
yoonjin: the quiet one, neither lashes out or anything dramatic, but it’s quiet. Too Quiet. maknae line hasn’t seen either one smile in nearly six weeks and it’s just Too Quiet. so of course they devise a plan to lock them in a closet together to work things out
taegi: yoongi sells the ring he bought to propose to taehyung with. taehyung ends up buying it one day when he’s at the pawn shop trying to sell the ring he bought yoongi. he thinks the “KTH + MYG” might mean something, so he decides he has to give it one last shot

namjin: like the john green quote, it happened slowly, then all at once. it isn’t until jin signs the divorce papers that he hesitantly asks joon out to coffee, where they catch up on everything they’ve missed since separating, and maybe hope isn’t lost after all
taejoon: it’s the first love that namjoon can’t stop writing about in his books, the kind that burns from the inside out and leaves white hot ashes in its wake. the kind that humbled joon, showed him all the best of humanity in one beautiful being. how could he not let him go?
namseok: a mutual “you’re the best person i know,” followed by a handshake, a shy goodbye, and a thousand more hello’s

jinkook: one of those silly kind of breakups that happened out of nowhere and is followed by gentle ribbing every chance they get, until one night on the roof over bottles of rice wine, jk asks, “hyung, why did we ever breakup in the first place?”
