It's better to take your time honing your skills as an artist and arrive at your goals as a healthy, whole person.

I worked myself to death when I was younger and spent the subsequent decade trying to piece myself back together & learn how to be a person.

You have time.
Practice and dedicated learning time OF COURSE makes you a better artist.

But saying "12 hour study days are 6x better than 2 hour days" is an oversimplification based in sheer ignorance of how the human brain learns and assimilates knowledge. Rest is crucial.
When I was a teen I drank the pain olympics koolaid HARD, I made myself do 14 hours of studies every weekend for YEARS

I remembered and meaningfully assimilated VERY little of those studies. 1 hour of those days is far less valuable than 1 hour on a reasonable schedule with rest
I worked super hard and got my first industry job at 21, just a few weeks after graduating.

I was a husk of a person for years. I have chronic pain from overwork that started in my 20s.

Im happy! But I wish I HADNT rushed. Overall it would have been more efficient, ironically.
